Position Summary
The Administrative Support Coordinator II will provide support to faculty, students, and staff in the School of Physical Therapy (SPT), a complex academic program within the College of Health and Human Services.
This position is responsible for the coordination, planning, and implementation of a variety of administrative and complex clerical activities. The clerical and administrative work is typically operational or procedural in nature and includes ongoing, complicated projects with a visible impact that requires skill in coordinating within the school, the college, and with other departments at SDSU as well as in the community.
This role works independently under the general direction of the School Director. The incumbent must provide excellent customer service and serve as an information resource for students, prospective students, faculty, and staff about the policies and requirements of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program. In addition to daily administrative support, the incumbent will support purchasing needs, processing of faculty contracts, budget tracking, faculty workload, and coordination of the School's Doctoral Program in Physical Therapy.
This is a full-time (1.0 time-base), benefits-eligible, permanent/probationary position. This position is designated non-exempt under FLSA and is eligible for overtime compensation. Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs.
The individual hired into this role will work on campus at SDSU in San Diego.

Department Summary
The School of Physical Therapy is one of six schools in the College of Health and Human Services. The school provides a rich educational experience consisting of academics, clinical experience and research. The school has a rich history of community partnerships, which enable it to provide practical experience to students.

Education and Experience
Entry to this classification requires a fully functional knowledge of and skill in standard office procedures and practices, as well as an ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures. Additionally, incumbents are expected to have a thorough knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation and be able to clearly communicate orally and in writing. Some positions may require a knowledge of business mathematics beyond basic arithmetic. The ability to use and quickly learn new office support technology systems and software packages is also a prerequisite.

Key Qualifications
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
The ability to organize, direct, and prioritize multiple duties and tasks in a dynamic working environment is an essential requirement.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in office software packages, technology, and systems (e.g., Google Suite).
Experience in front-line administrative support.
Experience working in an academic setting preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
Starting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed $4,700 per month.
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources.

CSU Classification Salary Range: $4,058 - $6,653 per month.
