This course explores the history of the U.S. from Reconstruction to the present.Course DescriptionA survey of the development and the changing historical interpretation of institutions and society in the United States from the end of Reconstruction to the present. Special attention to the interplay between races and cultural diversity and conflict. Themes include immigration, constitutional development politics, economics, religion, reform, the growth of the U.S. as a world power, status of women, westward expansion, and urbanization.Minimum qualifications:A master's degree in U.S. History or closely related fieldExperience teaching higher education coursesPer the California State University's Out-of-State Employment Policy, the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU-related work outside California.
