Job OverviewThe Senior Director of the Student Life Cycle holds a dual reporting structure to the Provost in Academic Affairs and the Vice President of Student Affairs. The position works collaboratively across divisions and units to ensure seamless, equitable, and effective support for all students throughout their life cycle. The incumbent will develop retention strategies to improve student educational experiences and graduation rates. The position requires excellent project management and problem-solving skills, along with research and analysis of issues affecting students to improve time-to-degree. Through pre-matriculation to career and post-grad transition, the Senior Director will work with campus leaders to identify targets, establish practices and protocols, share leading indicators of success, and direct strategies to create a more successful student. The successful candidate will be a change agent with political acumen that will identify best practices, student service gaps, and propose solutions.Position SummarySenior Director of Student Life Cycle (Admin III)This is a full time, exempt position in the Management Personnel Plan (MPP). MPP positions serve at the pleasure of the President. This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave.
